MEET THE AUTHORS
Michael S. Hildebrand and Gregory G. Noll
Mike Hildebrand and Greg Noll each have more than 30 years experience in industry and government and have served as firefighters, hazardous materials technicians, incident commanders, and instructors. Greg and Mike are the co-founders of Hildebrand and Noll Associates, Inc., a consulting firm specializing in emergency planning and response issues. Their experience and expertise includes hazardous materials, weapons of mass destruction, and operations security. They are both Certified Safety Professionals and serve on the NFPA 472 Technical Committee on Hazardous Materials Response.
Our project team has a very broad experience in developing and delivering multi-media training programs for industry and public safety. Over the last ten years we have shared our emergency response experience by writing six books on hazardous materials emergencies. We have over 100,000 copies of our books in circulation within the emergency services community. Our primary text, Hazardous Materials: Managing the Incident, is in its second edition and is the baseline text used by the majority of the Hazardous Materials Response Teams in the United States to train Hazardous Materials Technicians and HazMat Incident Commanders.
During our careers we have served as technical consultants on numerous hazardous materials training programs. We have served as technical reviewers for the development of 35 different training films produced by the Emergency Film Group. We have also provided on-camera narration for six Emergency Film Group training films and 20 special broadcasts for the Fire and Emergency Television Network (FETN).
As instructors, we have developed and delivered over 50 Hazardous Materials Technician training courses, over 140 Incident Commander training programs, and have delivered over 500 lectures nation-wide on hazardous materials safety.
